Billions in delegated authority premium move through spreadsheets every month. NorthThread exists because the people moving them deserve better than a midnight VLOOKUP session and a hope that the statement is right.
Why we built this
MGA operations holds one of the least visible, most consequential jobs in insurance: turning messy internal policy data into carrier-specific, reconciled bordereaux, on a deadline, every month.
Every MGA and coverholder we have spoken to runs the same monthly ritual. Export from the policy admin system, wrestle the columns into each carrier's template, eyeball the totals, send it off, and hope. Then the statement comes back, nobody has time to check it line by line, and underpaid commission quietly accumulates.
The tools on offer were enterprise platforms priced for carriers, or Excel. Nothing in between took the operations seat seriously. So we built the missing middle: bordereaux production and reconciliation done properly, priced for teams of five to fifty.

How we build
Four commitments, visible in the product rather than in a values page.
Money is stored in integer pennies, never a float. Processing is deterministic. If a number cannot be traced to its source row, we do not show it.
Every upload, mapping confirmation, waiver, and download is logged, append only. Your original files are never modified and never deleted.
AI suggests your column mapping once and a person confirms every column. After that, monthly runs involve no AI at all.
Two-factor authentication for every user with no opt-out, encrypted storage, strict tenant isolation, and a signable data processing agreement.
Where we are going
We are working with a small group of design partners to shape the product around real binders and real statements, wherever they are written. Bring us a binder shape we have not seen and we will build for it.
